Purloining a little Monday Q&A from Kathy B at Compassionknit in Wisconsin.
* Have you seen someone you know personally on television?
Starting my career in media relations and PR, I got to know many of the anchors and reporters at the various stations in Tampa. In addition, I brought many spokespeople in for news segments. In fact, one time we did a segment on the local CBS affiliate’s very early morning show about a Kids and Yoga Class being offered at the wellness center and my son, The Prophet, was one of the kids. helping to demonstrate different moves. I also met quite a number of celebrities over the years, Tim McGraw, Larry King, Anita Diamant, Anna Quindlen, Dr. Oz, (forgot all about Dr. Oz until I just watched Jeopardy and he was guest announcing a category) to name a few. But I actually met Hulk Hogan at a Ballys Gym in Clearwater when I first moved to Florida. And he is truly larger than life.
*Do you have a locket? Who is in it?
Nope, no locket…although I do have some locket-looking charms on my Pandora bracelet.
*What is your favorite pizza topping?
I am one of those weird people who like exotic toppings. We used to have a local pizza place (when I could eat regular pizza before I had to go gluten-free) that served thin-crust pizza with pineapple, walnuts and gorgonzola cheese. That was my favorite.
*The box of Valentine chocolates is in front of you. What’s your pick of chocolates?
I like dark chocolate filled with raspberry filling or jelly. But also a sucker for nuts, especially hazelnut. Love Nutella…yum!
*Is there a state you haven’t visited that you’d like to visit?
Hands down it would have to be Hawaii, but alternates would be Oregon (check out Portland and hunt down Chuck Palahniuk) and New Mexico for a balloon festival.
*What’s the oldest thing in your wardrobe?
I have a plaid kilt from high school and quite a number of dresses from college and dental school…let alone more shoes and handbags that can be considered antiques.
*When are you most likely to give up on a knit project?
Tie between too many mistakes that I can’t fudge or forget anymore or got bored with the project and moved on to knit something much more exciting.
*Name one thing you love about your husband/friend/or a family member:
My husband: For always telepathically knowing when I need some comfort Pad Thai
