Time Once Again for Some Purloining

Once again on this fine Monday, I am purloining a little Monday Q&A from Kathy B at Compassionknit in Wisconsin. Here goes:

*Do you prefer an analog or digital clock?

I prefer a digital clock and the reason is a bit unusual. I used to wear very, very thick glasses (thicker than coke bottles) and then of course, graduated to contact lenses. Hard to believe but it is now 18 years ago since I had Lasik done. The morning after the procedure when I woke up and could look across the entire bedroom and see—really see—the clock display on the cable box was like a miracle. I felt like I had bionic eyes!

*How good is your sense of direction?  (we are talking about times when you do not have your phone to use as a compass) (the good old days, of I say we go this way, and he says, nah we go this way)

I have an above average sense of direction and that is definitely without using a phone. I joke that I have my very own inner GPS and don’t need Siri, Google maps, etc. There are countless times where if the traffic gets backed up, I will figure out an alternative route to get me where I need to go…not even using an old-fashioned map.

*What do you like to knit in worsted weight yarn?

I hardly ever use worsted weight yarn, but when I have, it is definitely for sweaters.

*What was your favorite subject in school?

English. I also had an amazing high school English teacher…AP and Creative Writing, Mrs. Mary Forand. Interestingly enough I also had her husband, Mr. Forand, for World History. They were fabulous teachers.

*Have you pulled weeds yet?

Pulling weeds is an ongoing task within our community garden plot.

*Do you figure out who you caught a cold from? (the blame game)

I cannot recall the last time I was sick…upper respiratory/sore throat sick. It has been 7 1/2 years now. I attribute this phenomenon to the fact that I’ve been taking an oral Probiotic for that long a time period…Garden of Life.

*Are you ripping out everything you knit this weekend?

No frogging and ripping today…really no knitting.

*Do you have your appendix?

I have my appendix.

*Do you have your tonsils?

No longer have my tonsils as they were taken out when I was 6 after bout after bout of strep throat.

*What would you name a colorway today based on your morning weather?

Blue Sky like the Alman Brothers song of the same name.
