Even though I purchased yarn last Friday with the intent to use for Andrea Mowry’s Comfort Fade Cardi, the skeins were not speaking to me. I knew that at this juncture before I even cast on, if I was just meh about the yarn, the cardi was not going to ever make it to cast off, soak and block.
Thankfully a lightbulb went off in my head…there were some handspun skeins that would work squirreled away in my big plastic tub. The Cardi will be knit up starting with color A in a Frozen-inspired Targhee from a Spunky Club selection to color B with JulieSpins‘ Polwarth in Trading Post (teal, brown and natural) and then to color C with Spunky Eclectic Panda Top in Nova Scotia (blue jean tones, taupe and white). I will just need to spin up some more Panda Top in Moo to procure that color D and away I can knit and fade.
All of the additional contemplation for WIPs are slotted for holiday gifts. Planning to knit up some bath mitts in cotton from Lily Sugar n Cream (which will be part of a themed spa/pamper gift kits that will also include handmade soap and candle) and then using a Caron Cake and simple hat.
Hopefully in the very near future there will be some concrete WIPs.
