Once again on this fine Monday, I am purloining a little Monday Q&A from Kathy B at Compassionknit in Wisconsin. Here goes:
*Can you knit something by “heart?”
Once I get into the rhythm of a pattern, it becomes a little bit by heart. But I really still double check the pattern because sometimes my mind wanders and before I know it, I’m on a different stitch and frogging it back.
*Would you like some yarn for Chanukah?
Yarn and other knitting paraphernalia are always on my wish list. Specifically looking for DK to worsted black yarn with a little cashmere in the blend for the Botanical Yoke Pullover.
*Can you make a bow for a package or gift?
I can make bows for gifts, but wrapping is a totally different story. Gift bags are my friend.
*Do you buy used books or new?
I buy both used and new books and also electronic selections. Actually my last purchase of used books was some back catalog Louise Penny.
*Have you ever received home baked cookies in the mail?
I have never received home-baked cookies in the mail. Wait a second, I used to get care packages at sleep away summer camp. Too bad I didn’t get any today for National Cookie Day…they of course would now need to be gluten free.
*When was the last time your toes froze and your nose was red?
Last time my toes were truly frozen and my nose was red was for our nephew’s wedding in Denver three years ago…it snowed too!
