It’s Winter Break for The Prophet (aka The Prodigal Son) who returned at noon from college for actually an unexpected lengthy break. Instead of going back up to Gainesville for second semester, he will be in Tampa for his internship at a Rehab facility. Yeah! Now we can binge watch a lot of our favorite shows and then watch them live together.
Anyhow he really loves the way I make BBQ chicken wings…another little bit and that type of recipe. I usually season the chicken wings first with garlic powder, smoked paprika, regular paprika, cayenne pepper, sea salt and conventional pepper. Bake at 325 for 20 minutes and turn the temp down to 150 and slow cook most of the day with my special agave BBQ sauce (that includes store-bought hickory BBQ sauce, ketchup, Sriracha and agave syrup) on top.
It’s has become a welcome home tradition…even though he has learned to make it himself for his roommates (he inherited the ‘don’t need to measure and can eyeball it’ gene).
