Since visually, other than one completed Crusoe, my knitting progress looked very similar to last week. I thought that today I would share my knitting plans for the future…goal knits and what I have in the works for February.
No surprise that I have quite a bit of stash yarn, with the majority (if not all) purchased with a specific project in mind. With Valentine’s Day occurring in February, I wanted to knit sock pair #2 for Box O Sox 2018 that was somehow tied together. I chose a blast from the past pattern, Hugs and Chocolate Kisses, from The 2008 Loopy Ewe Sock Club with the associated yarn being Dream in Color Smooshy in “Spicy Smoochies.”
Two weeks from tomorrow the Winter Olympics will officially begin, and thus time for a very special competition…the knitting version of the games. It’s called the Ravellenic Games (not originally when the concept first showed up on Ravelry…there’s a very complex story involved with intrigue as to how the current name came to be). I know what I will be knitting, but not the team I will join or event exactly just yet. It will be the Botanical Yoke Pullover in Miss Babs Yummy 3-Ply in Ebony. I have new stitch markers for the occasion (Doctor Who-inspired Tardis) and virgin HiYa HiYa cables.
Beside the Games, I have motivation to complete the sweater (or maybe in honor of the Tardis, I should say ‘jumper’). I want to bring Botanical Yoke on vacation to Vegas and Phoenix the first week in March. [LOL, I have pair #3 planned as well for Box O Sox in March].
