WIP It Wednesday

It is time to resurrect WIP it Wednesday. Well, not exactly a current WIP, as this project is a real deep dive into the vault of very sad and lingering pile of half-knits. In this case, even less than half as the heel flap is barely started on sock #1!

Majestic Socks

Sad to share this pattern was cast on a little more than 11 years ago! Good grief…more like a totally missing in action project!

Designed by Elizabeth Warner, this pattern was featured in April 2009 Woolgirl Sock Club kit. Socks are top down (my preferred method) and that is where it departed from anything traditional for me. There are arch increases, twisting cables and a heel turn inspired by Cat Bordhi’sNew Pathways for Sock Knitters.”

Yarn is Zen Garden Yarn’s Serenity, which is a very luxurious merino/cashmere blend. It is ever so soft next to your skin. So not sure, why this project has been so sadly lingering and forgotten.

Perhaps Majestic sock knitting will move me out of my knitting slump?
