Post SuperBowl Sunday Purloining

Honestly I am quite pleased with the end result of the SuperBowl. Even though I am a die-hard NY Giants fan, I can’t believe that I’m admitting this BUT…I did root for the Philadelphia Eagles to win. It was a refreshing change to see the humbling of the Patriots and Tom Brady, giving someone else the glory spotlight. Continue reading “Post SuperBowl Sunday Purloining”

It’s Monday and Time for Purloined Q&A

Once again on this fine and cold Monday in Tampa (anything below 60 degrees is cold and it is 40), I am purloining a little Monday Q&A from Kathy B at Compassionknit in Wisconsin. Here goes:

* Have you knit Christmas Ornaments or Hanukkah things?

No, just the bath mitts as gifts though I think that next year I might just knit up ornaments. Continue reading “It’s Monday and Time for Purloined Q&A”

Time Once Again for Some Purloining

Once again on this fine Monday, I am purloining a little Monday Q&A from Kathy B at Compassionknit in Wisconsin. Here goes:

*Do you prefer an analog or digital clock?

I prefer a digital clock and the reason is a bit unusual. I used to wear very, very thick glasses (thicker than coke bottles) and then of course, graduated to contact lenses. Hard to believe but it is now 18 years ago since I had Lasik done. The morning after the procedure when I woke up and could look across the entire bedroom and see—really see—the clock display on the cable box was like a miracle. I felt like I had bionic eyes! Mondays are for Purloining

Once again on this fine Monday, I am purloining a little Monday Q&A from Kathy B at Compassionknit in Wisconsin. Here goes:

* When are you most hungry: Morning, noon or night?

For me, it definitely depends on whether the day in question is during the work week or on the weekend. During the week, I typically don’t eat until around noon and it is a portion-controlled container of overnight oatmeal. Over the weekend, I am famished as soon as I wake up. Go figure! #GYST on Labor Day

It has been a nice and leisurely weekend. With the Prophet in for part of the long weekend, we trekked over to Pinellas to visit mom, have lunch, and go to the movies. Somehow everyone agreed to my choice: “The Hitman’s Bodyguard.” Lots of profanity and violence, which ironically, only my DH was uncomfortable. Big fan of Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson…so truly how can you go wrong? Entertaining and some high octane chase scenes. It is what it is and nothing more…just the right choice for an end-of-summer movie.

Countdown to What the Fade Mystery KAL

There’s no denying the fact that Andrea Mowry’s patterns are hot, and you can’t just knit one. So as I finish up (trying to at the very least) her Free Your Fade Shawl, I am already prepared for her new pattern, What the Fade? It is a mystery shawl knit along, and not my first time at a mystery KAL rodeo. I have knit many in the past…socks and shawls for the most part.
